  19. 5R, MADAGASCAR. Gerard, F2JD (ex-S79JD/5Z4JD/5V7JG etc....) has received
  20. his licence and will begin operating as 5R8EN. He will stay in Malagasy
  21. until September. He plans to work with a long wire and he will improve
  22. his antenna system very soon. Gerard was heard over the weekend on 21019
  23. kHz around 0905z. QSL via F6AJA.
  24.  
  25. 9G, GHANA. Joe, N1OCS, will be on business in Navrongo from March 
  26. 12-24th. He will be in Accra before going on to Navrongo and he hopes
  27. to be able to operate from the club station in the late evening of 
  28. March 12th (local time). Once in Navrongo, Joe hopes to have his modest
  29. 100 watt station (using a dipole) operational by March 14th (work 
  30. permitting). His suggested frequencies (+/- QRM):
  31.   CW  - 1819, 3525, 7025, 10105, 14025, 18025, 21025, 24895 and 28025
  32.   SSB - 1845, 3795, 7065, 14195, 18145, 21295, 24945 and 28495 kHz

  34. 9M8, EAST MALAYSIA (UPDATE). As reported in OPDX.244, Andrea, DL3ABL,
  35. and Michael, DL6MHW, will be active in Sarawak from the 14th to 26th of 
  36. March. Both have now received their licenses and they hope to be on the
  37. air on the evening of the 14th of March. Look for 9M8AD (Andrea, DL3ABL)
  38. and 9M8MH (Michael, DL6MHW) to be active on CW and SSB on the following
  39. suggested times and frequencies: 3507 (3501) from 1930-2100z, 7007/7064
  40. from 1700-2200z, 10101 (10107) from 1600-1700z, 14007/14195 from 1400-
  41. 1600z, 18073/18127, 21007/21295 and 24895 kHz. The frequencies and the
  42. scheduled times are without warranty. Everything depends on local and
  43. band conditions plus their personal activities. QSL via DL3ABL, Andrea

  46. A3, TONGA. Morten, LA9GY, will operate from here March 16th through
  47. April 4th. His callsign will most likely be A35GY, but it has not been
  48. issued yet. His main mode of operation will be CW, but he will be active
  49. on SSB from time to time. He will make a special effort on the low bands,
  50. 160-30 meters. Morten will also take part in the CQWW WPX SSB Contest.

  59. EV, BELARUS. The BARTG GB2ATG News reports the special event station
  60. EV10D is on the air to mark 10 years anniversary since the Chernobyl
  61. Nuclear Power Station disaster. Activity reported on the Ohio/Penn
  62. Network show this station has been operating mainly on 20 meters SSB
  63. and RTTY.

  65. FT5, CROZET ISLAND. FT5WE was heard begging for calls on 40 meters this
  66. past weekend around 7005 kHz between 1400 and 1700z. Activity was also
  67. on 30 meters. QSL via F5GTW, Claude Touyeras, 23 rue des Chardonnais,

  70. HAM, HUNGARY (Attention Prefix Hunters). Some Hungarians are using the
  71. additional prefix letter "M" to celebrate 1100 years since foundation 
  72. of the state (ex. HAM3HV, HAM5AWH, HAM5JI, HAM8RJ, HAM9SU...). Their
  73. length of activity with this prefix is unknown at this time.

  75. HC8, GALAPAGOS ISLANDS. Shun, a doctor of veterinary medicine, JF1MGI
  76. is now on Galapagos Islands for animal research and will stay there 
  77. until the end of March. He will be on the air during his free time.
  78. Shun's callsign and band activity was not passed on. OPDX hopes to have
  79. an update on details.
  80.  
  81. JW, SVALBARD. Erik, SM0AGD, and John, SM0DJZ, will make a visit here
  82. and will be active from March 14-18th. Activity will be mainly on 80,
  83. 40 and 30 meters with operations mainly on CW, but there will be some
  84. RS-12, SSB and RTTY operations also. They plan to participate in 
  85. BARTG-RTTY-Contest. Their callsigns will be JW/homecall, and QSL to
  86. their homecalls. (PLEASE NOTE: SM0AGD is only good in 1996 CB! SM0AGD,
  87. Vestagatan 27, S-19556 Marsta, Sweden.)

  89. KH2, GUAM. Seiji, JH6RTO will be active as AH0AV/KH2 from April 11-14th.
  90. He will concentrate on 10 and 17 meters except during the JIDX Contest
  91. hours. QSL via homecall, Seiji Fukushima, 2-183-A207, Soubudai, 
  92. Zama City 228, Japan.

  94. KH0, MARIANA ISLANDS. Jun, JH4RHF, will be on a business trip to Saipan
  95. from March 10-18th. He plans to be active as KH2S/KH0. Two other operators
  96. will be with him, but Jun does not know their callsigns at this time.
  97. Look for him on 40 or 80 meters around 10-1600z. QSL to his home call:

  99.   The DXNL reports that Allen, KN6AH, plans to be active as KH0/KN6AH
  100. from March 15-30th. He wants to work especially on 40, 20, and 15 meters
  101. and on nets on 20 meters. QSL direct only via callbook.

  103. PY0, TRINDADE ISLAND. Mendonca, PY1UP, will be signing PY0TI until June
  104. 12th (or around this date). He continues to be active on all bands SSB/CW,
  105. using a 100w transceiver and a multiband wire antenna. His most updated
  106. QSL information is: Joao Batista G. Memdonca, Rua Alfredo Backer 536,
  107. apto 1101 Bloco 05 - Alcantara, 24452-000 Sao Goncalo - RJ, Brazil. In
  108. the past Mendonca has had problems regarding mail violation, but he states
  109. this problem has been solved. He has written a letter to the post office
  110. top Director in Brasilia about the postal violations and the post office
  111. Director has fired and transferred personnel based in PY1UP's post office.
  112. Since then, Mendonca has not seen any mail violations and states he has
  113. been sending the logs to the continent and cards are being answered even
  114. before he gets back.

  119. A message from our "Bavarian Contest Club" states cards for the TK2C
  120. operation in the 1995 CQWW DX-Contest SSB and CW are now printed and
  121. will be send out within the next few weeks. QSL Manager is DF7RX (direct
  122. or via the bureau)......

  124. ST, SUDAN. Claus (ex-9G1AP and 9N1AP) is currently active as ST1AP. He
  125. was heard on 14178 kHz around 2215z, but he can also be found on the MAR
  126. net at 0745z on 14332 kHz.
  127.  
  128. TM5, FRANCE. The radio club station "Sciences ET Techniques Nancy" 
  129. (F6KIM) will be active on 160-10 meters during the CQWW WPX SSB Contest
  130. with the special call TM5Z. The team will be composed with all members
  131. of 1993 AIX Island DXpedition (Pascal/F5LEN, Bruno/F5NGZ, Pascal/F5PTM
  132. and Herve/F5RMY). A special QSLs will be available only via bureau!

  134. ZF, CAYMAN ISLANDS. John, NC8V, will be operating as ZF2JC/ZF8 from 
  135. Little Cayman Island (NA-016) from March 15-21st. The operation will be
  136. mostly around the IOTA frequencies and mostly SSB, but he will try to
  137. switch to CW upon request. QSLs go to his home call NC8V (Good in any
  138. callbooks since 1991): John Cornwell, NC8V, 15100 E. Scatter Ridge Rd.,

  141. ZK1, SOUTH COOK ISLAND. Bruce/AA8U, Stanley/K8MJZ and Marilyn/AG8W will
  142. be going to Rorotonga for the IARU Radiosport Contest in July of this
  143. year. They plan to be active on all HF bands from July 11-20th. They
  144. intend to focus activity on 160 and 80M outside the contest period so
  145. look for them at your sunrise. The contest callsign will be ZK1AAU.
  146. Also, look for ZK1MJZ and ZK1AGW to be active before and after the 
  147. contest period SSB and CW. QSL to Bruce Lallathin AA8U, 9221 Ford Rd.,
  148. Rives Junction, MI 49277 (include appropriate SASE).

  150. ZS8, MARION ISLAND. Chris, ZS5IR/ZS6RI, will be active as ZS8IR from
  151. May until June or July 1997. His planned activity will be on 160-6 
  152. meters with operations on CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL ZS6EZZ.

  164. ones ("1111"). (NOTE: Some FAX machines that send single "BEEPS" every
  165. second will not have to do this step.) 3) The phone will pick up and 
  166. after the "BEEP" leave your voice message or FAX.
